How do I choose the right plan for my lot?
Start by measuring your buildable area, taking into account local setback rules (the distance you must keep from property lines). Next, filter our catalog by square footage and "must-have" features like a main-floor bedroom or office. Finally, check with your local zoning office to ensure tiny homes or ADUs are permitted on your specific plot of land.
What makes Dream Tiny Houses different?

You can also request upgrades from your builder such as advanced wall assemblies or triple-pane windows for even greater efficiency.
I saw a design on YouTube — is it available?
Any design featured on our YouTube channel that is fully engineered and ready for sale will be listed here on the website. If a design isn’t listed, it is likely still in the concept phase.

How can I estimate construction costs?
Because labor and material prices vary wildly by zip code, we cannot give a single "price to build." The best method is to take the Materials List (included with your plan) to 2-3 local licensed builders for a line-item bid. This gives you a realistic budget based on your specific location.
What steps follow after I purchase?
- Download: Save your PDF and CAD files immediately.
- Verify: Take the plans to your local planning office to confirm zoning and permits.
- Hire: Select a licensed contractor to review the plans and schedule the build.
- Site Prep: Survey, excavate, and pour the foundation.
- Build: Follow the drawings stage by stage—framing, mechanicals, finishes.
Do I need special software to open the files?
No special software is needed for the main plans; they are standard PDFs. However, the CAD (.dwg) files (if included in your package) require architectural software like AutoCAD, or a free viewer like Autodesk DWG TrueView.
